Since 1997, Seaside Pools has grown from a humble, one-man operation into a trusted, family-run company known for expert pool design, installation, and reliable service.
How We Started
Seaside Pools has been in business for almost three decades providing swimming pool design and installation on Cape Cod.
Our longevity in business is just one of the things that makes Seaside Pools different.
As is often the case with independent businesses on the Cape, Seaside Pools started out small, very small. Founder and owner/operator Dave Cavatorta had one employee and a dream. He wanted to provide an outstanding product that would enhance the lives of his customers. What better way to do that than by designing and installing swimming pools?
Steady Growth
Much has changed since Dave started Seaside Pools in 1997. We now have a substantial team of trusted employees, all of whom go through rigorous training and ongoing education. Over the years Dave’s three sons have been a part of the company and they have all taken pride in the “family business”.
Fairly early on, Dave realized that offering swimming pool owners reliable maintenance and service was a must, which has allowed us to develop longtime relationships with our clients.
As the company grew, so too did our fleet of specialty equipment. What was a home office with a couple of trucks in the driveway is now a sizable facility located in Dennis.
Embracing Change
Perhaps the biggest changes have been in swimming pools themselves and client expectations. Thirty years ago, homeowners didn’t have many options for the shape of their pool or the material used for its deck. Swimming pools can now be highly customized, designed exactly as a homeowner envisions, and perfectly proportioned for their space. Pools can then be surrounded with a deck made with a material that beautifully complements the home’s aesthetic. Hot tubs and spas used to be just that: freestanding tubs that were delivered and hooked up. These days, many people opt for a spa that is integrated within their pool’s design.
Many of our clients own second homes on the Cape, so it was only natural that, when it became available, we moved quickly to educate ourselves in swimming pool automation.
Embracing change has played a part in allowing Seaside Pools to grow. But what really sets us apart, what has allowed us to thrive, is our unwavering commitment to our clients, in which we’ve been steadfast since Dave’s very first day.
